Recovery

When a missing child is located, people breathe a sigh of relief.

But recovery is not the end of the story.

It’s the beginning of a new one.

Survivors often face complex trauma, emotional manipulation, fear of retaliation, shame, and deep psychological conditioning.

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network explains that trafficking victims frequently experience trauma bonding where victims feel loyalty or attachment to their trafficker due to manipulation cycles.

Healing requires:

  • Trauma informed therapy

  • Safe housing

  • Long term support

  • Community restoration

According to the Office for Victims of Crime, survivor services must be comprehensive and sustained not short term.

At Saved in America, we believe recovery doesn’t stop at location.

It continues through restoration.

Because freedom isn’t just physical.

It’s emotional, spiritual, and psychological.

And survivors deserve all of it.
