Behind the Scenes: How Saved in America Operates

By Saved in America

Families often ask how our organization works and what happens when a child goes missing. Saved in America is a team of volunteer former law enforcement, military special operators, and private investigators dedicated to locating missing, runaway, and exploited children at no cost to families.

Here’s how a case works.

Step 1: The Call

Parents contact SIA when their child is missing or being groomed/exploited.
Time is critical many cases escalate within 48 hours.

Step 2: Intelligence Gathering

Our investigators begin collecting:

  • Social media activity

  • Known associates

  • Travel patterns

  • Digital evidence

  • Leads from community members

This information determines where to search first.

Step 3: Collaboration With Law Enforcement

SIA works alongside police departments nationwide.

Our role:

  • Provide intelligence

  • Assist with surveillance

  • Support parents

  • Help develop actionable leads

Step 4: Location & Recovery

Saved in America has helped find hundreds of missing children.
Once located, we ensure:

  • Law enforcement involvement

  • Safe recovery

  • Aftercare for the victim and family
