How Communities Play a Role in Preventing Trafficking

Trafficking prevention doesn’t start with law enforcement it starts with awareness. Teachers, neighbors, parents, coaches, and friends are often the first to notice changes in behavior or concerning patterns.

By understanding grooming tactics, staying informed, and reporting suspicious activity, communities become a protective barrier. Prevention happens long before someone is reported missing.

When communities are educated and vigilant, fewer families ever have to experience the fear of a missing loved one.
