Technology: A Tool for Both Traffickers and Investigators

Technology has dramatically changed the landscape of human trafficking. Traffickers often use social media, messaging apps, and online classified sites to recruit and exploit victims. However, the same technology is increasingly being used by investigators and nonprofit organizations to locate missing children and identify trafficking networks. As technology evolves, continued collaboration between tech companies, investigators, and advocacy groups remains critical to preventing exploitation online. SIA Interview
