After Trafficking

Recovery is not a moment it’s a process.

When a child is recovered, the headlines often stop there. But for survivors and families, the journey is only beginning. Trauma can manifest in ways that are invisible at first: anxiety, withdrawal, anger, fear, or difficulty trusting others.

True recovery requires more than rescue. It requires long term support, trauma informed care, and patience from everyone involved.

Saved in America works alongside families and law enforcement to ensure that recovery doesn’t end at location. Healing takes time, and every survivor’s path looks different.

Success is not defined by how quickly someone “moves on,” but by how safely and fully they are supported afterward.
