Silent Skill Set

When a child goes missing, time distorts. Hours become weeks. Hope flickers. Many times, a mother or father begin the fight of their life—searching, pleading, and waiting. At Saved in America, we meet them at the edge of despair with one promise: You are not alone.

We Don’t Snatch & Grab. We Strategize and Collaborate.

There’s a myth that organizations like ours operate outside the law—breaking down doors and storming in. This could not be further from the truth. Over 10 years ago, our Founder, Pastor Joseph Travers, our Founder, Pastor Joseph Travers, envisioned a highly-organized elite team of skilled operators who volunteer to rescue children in the clutches of trafficking. Our team is composed of retired Navy SEALs, special operations veterans, and former law enforcement professionals—each now licensed and insured private investigators. We don’t take children back—we find them, build the case, and work hand-in-hand with law enforcement to bring them home safely and legally.

Everything we do is within the boundaries of the law. We gather intelligence. We verify locations. We provide that intelligence to the appropriate law enforcement agency. And then, we let them do what they are trained and authorized to do: execute the recovery.

The Skill Set No One Sees

To the outside world, it may seem like we operate in silence. That’s because we do. The privacy of our cases and the protection of the children we serve demand discretion. But here’s a closer look at the elite skills our volunteer operators bring:

  • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT):
Tracing digital footprints from social media and online activity that traffickers and victims leave behind.

  • Human Intelligence (HUMINT):
Through on-the-ground surveillance and interviews, we gather critical information that helps piece together a child’s location and potential risk.

  • Tactical Field Experience:
Our operators are trained in situational awareness, safety, and surveillance—all conducted with respect to law and without confrontation.

  • Case Coordination with Law Enforcement:
Once the intelligence is solid, we prepare detailed reports and hand them over to the appropriate jurisdiction to make the physical recovery.

  • Victim Advocacy:
Our mission doesn’t end when a child is found. We help facilitate trauma-informed services through vetted organizations to aid in recovery and long-term healing. Our parent coordinator is a licensed marriage and family therapist who guides the family through the process and offers her services free of charge.

Since 2014, Saved in America has assisted in over 280 recoveries of missing and exploited children.
