The Truth

The Truth About “Safe” Neighborhoods

Many families believe trafficking can’t touch them because they live in a “good area.”
But trafficking isn’t limited by zip codes it’s driven by access.

In fact, traffickers intentionally target:
• suburban neighborhoods
• gated communities
• private schools
• youth sports
• churches
• online friend groups

Why?
Because many of these families feel immune to the danger, which makes kids less supervised online and more trusting of new digital relationships.

Traffickers study behavior.
They study trends.
They study where children feel comfortable and that’s exactly where they blend in.

Awareness means understanding that proximity does not equal protection.
A safe neighborhood does not replace a watchful parent.
A good school does not replace conversations about online risks.
Faith filled communities do not replace vigilance.

Trafficking is not about “where you live.”
It’s about who has access to your child online or offline.
