Collaborative Effort

This article by Vista Press highlights the many contributions of the Soroptimist group and their efforts towards bettering their community. The piece begins by highlighting the group’s first-ever charity casino night fundraiser cleverly called “A Night at the Museum.” All the proceeds raised at this event were set to go to the group’s Dream Program, along with helping fund the group’s continued efforts of fighting against human trafficking.

An Anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative Effort

In other news outlined in the article, Saved in America’s own Joseph Travers served as a guest speaker for a Soroptimist meeting. During his speech, he shared the true story of a kidnapped girl and how his group stepped in and continues to enjoy a 100% success rating in finding missing and exploited children, many of whom were rescued before they were victimized by the human trafficking industry. Saved in America was founded by Travers and other highly qualified volunteers like former Navy SEALs and more who have put their military specialist training to work on the home front to fight back against the evil that is prevailing across the nation.

There is a Cost

As part of his talk with the group, Travers outlined the immense cost associated with every rescue. According to SIA figures, each rescue costs an estimated $5,500 from beginning to end. While none of the volunteers charge for their time, each rescue involves many surveillance hours, and expensive equipment, such as drones, and also requires case managers who oversee the evidence like videos, photos, and more that are required to attempt to take these predators down in court after the rescue is completed. Since each rescue costs this much, and the group doesn’t charge families a dime for their services, that makes donations and volunteer efforts that much more important. Thankfully, groups like Saved in America along with the Soroptimist organization are committed to helping better the state for the kids who reside within.

An Additional Note

It’s worth stating that all the volunteers who give of their time to Saved in America are licensed private investigators. They have all also had either military or law enforcement training, or both before their volunteering with SIA. This ensures that everything the group does is within the law and can only help the victims and their families.
